Why did Shahid Afridi buy Mushfiqur Rahim's bat?


Former Bangladesh cricket captain Mushfiqur Rahim held an online auction of his memorable bat to help victims of the corona virus, but the auction was later canceled due to fake offers.

According to the French news agency AFP, Mushfiqur Rahim scored the first double century for Bangladesh in the cheek test against Sri Lanka in 2013 with this bat.

Mushfiqur Rahim said that the management had to cancel the auction because the price of the bat had reached 50,000 due to fake offers.
Afridi contacted me himself and I sent him the link to the auction, Mushfiqur said.
On May 13, Shahid Afridi sent me a letter and offered me 20,000. Dollar, he added. They bought my bat with that money. I am very proud. 
Mushfiqur Rahim's management firm says the money will go to a charity and help people infected with the corona virus.
