No peace in Afghanistan without Pakistan: Russia
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that if peace is to be established in Afghanistan, it will have to involve Pakistan and other neighboring countries.
Addressing a press conference after the SCO summit, the Russian foreign minister made it clear that peace in Afghanistan required the co-operation of other countries in the region, including Pakistan.
Russia has called on the SCO to convene a meeting of the Contact Group on the situation in Afghanistan because the recent terrorist attacks have endangered peace in Afghanistan. We are trying to get the meeting of the Contact Group, he said. Call as soon as possible.
