Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: There is a severe shortage of beds in Corona wards

According to the Young Doctors Association of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, there is a severe shortage of beds for patients in the province's Corona wards.

According to a press release issued by the Young Doctors Association, the number of Corona victims in the province has risen alarmingly and continues to do so.

The press release called on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to provide timely ventilators and beds to deal with the emergency situation and said, "Survivors are still transporting patients in ambulances while beds are not available."

The press release warns that the situation will worsen in the coming days.

According to the Young Doctors Association of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, about 400 doctors in the province have been infected with the corona virus, so the government has been asked to send 1,300 doctors to the PGM as soon as possible to meet the shortage of doctors in the coming days. Induction should be given under III.

The press release also called on the government to manage corona patients in Tehsil Headquarters and RHC hospitals on an emergency basis and to link these hospitals with online teaching hospitals for technical assistance.

The Young Doctors Association has also called on the government to abolish the general duties of doctors and reserve specialist doctors in each district to prevent infection.

The press release also said that all government resources should be diverted to Corona and security of KP hospitals and healthcare staff should be ensured.

The Young Doctors Association says the police have failed, so the army or Rangers should be deployed in hospitals and the Security Act should be implemented under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ordinance, otherwise doctors will be forced to quit in case of insecurity.
