Matriculation and Inter examinations across Sindh canceled, students announced to be promoted
Matriculation and inter-board examinations were canceled in view of corona virus situation in Sindh including Karachi.
The Sindh Education Minister announced to promote the students in the next class without examination and said that based on the old result, the ninth class student will go to the tenth class and the tenth class will go to the eleventh class.
The result of matriculation students will be prepared on the basis of the result of ninth class and the result of intermediate students will be prepared on the basis of the result of eleventh class.
All student scores will also be increased by 3%. Those who fail a paper last year will be given passing marks in this article.
Talking to Geo News in this regard, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that the board has decided to cancel the examinations after which there will be no matriculation and entrance papers in Sindh and students will be promoted.
He said that the decision not to take the exams has been taken by the Education Steering Committee of the Sindh government and the final decision has been taken to promote the children in the next class but the law will be changed to promote the students in the next class. Undergraduate students cannot be promoted without examination.
The Sindh Education Minister said that the percentage of students would be changed so that they would not have any problem in getting admission in the next class.
It should be noted that earlier in Sindh, it was decided to promote only first to eighth class students.
Sindh Education Minister said that schools cannot be kept closed, children's education has to be taken care of, therefore online education system is going to be announced in a few days.
