Former Indian PM shifted to hospital


Former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has been shifted to a hospital in the capital Delhi due to chest pain.
According to Indian channel NDTV, Congress leader and former prime minister Manmohan Singh felt chest pain on Sunday evening after which he was rushed to the hospital's cardiology ward.
The 87-year-old former prime minister is being treated by Dr Natish and does not currently need to be kept in the intensive care unit.

In March this year, Manmohan Singh was injured in a fall, after which doctors advised him to rest completely.
He also had a heart operation in 2009 and is suffering from diabetes.
Manmohan Singh represents the state of Rajasthan in the Indian Parliament.
Manmohan Singh served as the 13th Prime Minister from 2004 to 2013. He is the first person from the Sikh community to become the Prime Minister of India. Manmohan Singh holds a doctorate in economics from Oxford University.
He also visited Pakistan in November 2019 to attend the inauguration of the Kartarpur Corridor. Arriving in Pakistan, he said that the opening of the corridor would improve relations between Pakistan and India.
