Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Chinese Defense Minister General Wei Feng met on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Defense Ministers' Meeting in Moscow, Russia.
According to Chinese state media, this is the first high-level contact between the two countries after the Sino-Indian border tensions. Bilateral tensions were discussed during the meeting.
After the meeting, the Chinese Defense Minister said that the entire responsibility for the Sino-Indian border tension lies with India, adding that the Chinese military is talented and confident in safeguarding China's territorial integrity.
He said the Chinese would defend every inch of the territory.
On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has offered cooperation to end the dispute between India and China.
Trump says India-China situation was very bad, ready to help us if possible.
Border tensions between China and India have been simmering since June this year, and three months ago, 20 soldiers, including an Indian army colonel, were killed in clashes with Chinese forces in the disputed border area between China and India in Ladakh.
Also this week, an Indian soldier was killed in two clashes on the border between Indian and Chinese forces.
