The whole city came out to attend George's last rites and the memorial service. Family, loved ones and friends of the deceased paid tribute to him on the occasion. A ceremony was also held in Washington in memory of George Floyd. Democrat senators on their knees paid tribute to the victim

 According to the Associated Press, police have arrested more than 10,000 people in various cities so far during the protests, which began last week.

All four police officers involved in George's murder have been charged with murder. George has been charged with second-degree murder after the third-degree murder charge was dropped from the police officer Derek Shawne who pressed him under his knee.

The said police officer will also face a case of slaughtering a person under second degree.

Protests, demonstrations and clashes with police have taken place in 40 cities across the country despite the curfew, according to US media.

Troops guarding the White House have retreated and curfews have been lifted in Washington, D.C.
