Iran fires missiles at its own ship during war games, large-scale casualties


 The Iranian navy fired a missile at its own ship during exercises, killing 19 Navy personnel aboard.

According to the foreign news agency, the Iranian military confirmed the incident, saying that the incident took place on Sunday when a missile was fired at a target in the Gulf of Oman during a military exercise, but it was a nearby Iranian support ship. As a result of which 19 people aboard the ship were killed and 15 were injured. According to Arab media, the incident took place on the Gulf of Oman near the port of Jask, southeast of Tehran Exercises continued and the duo was hit by a support missile.

Iranian state media have described the incident as an accident, saying the ship was hitting its target when the ship was so close to the target that the accident occurred. The crashed ship was built in 2018 and was launched from the sea. It was capable of firing missiles.

According to Arab media, it has not yet been confirmed how many members were on board the plane at the time of the crash, but the Turkish agency claimed that there were more than 40 members on board, of whom 20 were killed. Says Iranian Revolutionary Guards have called the incident a human error
