Dr Dale Fisher, head of the WHO's global epidemic alert, said the coronavirus vaccine was being tested around the world and was in its second or third phase.

He did not give a clear date for the availability of the vaccine, but did say that even if all steps were taken as expected, the vaccine would not be available until the end of 2021.
