Corona epidemic: More than 15,000 victims in Sindh, the total number of cases in the country was 39,473

The spread of the global corona virus in Pakistan has not slowed down and so far the number of people infected with the virus has risen to 39,473, while 847 people have also died.

The deadly corona virus, which has spread around the world, began in the last month of last year at a seafood market in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China.

The virus, which originated in China, has now spread to almost the entire world, affecting more than 4.5 million people worldwide and killing more than 300,000.

Even in Pakistan, the virus came later than other countries in the region, but the virus has been in the country for more than two and a half months.

Today (May 16) also confirmed cases of Corona came to light in Pakistan while the number of recoveries also increased.

Sindh
Another 674 new cases of corona virus and 13 deaths were reported in Sindh.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that 4,467 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours out of which 674 were positive.

He said that after these new cases, the total number of victims in the province reached 15,590.

According to Murad Ali Shah, 13 patients died in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 268.

He said that 490 of these new cases were from Karachi

Punjab
In Punjab, another 287 new cases of corona virus and 11 deaths were reported.

According to the spokesperson of Primary and Secondary Health Care, after these new cases, the total number of victims in the province has reached 14,201.

He said that 11 more people died of corona virus in the province, bringing the total death toll to 245 while 4757 patients have recovered so far.

Islamabad
In the federal capital Islamabad, where the number of cases was low earlier, the number of victims is increasing day by day.

An additional 55 new patients were added to the federal capital, according to official figures.

After which the number of corona cases in Islamabad has increased from 866 to 921 so far.

Gilgit-Baltistan
In Gilgit-Baltistan, where 4 people have lost their lives to the virus so far, the number of cases is increasing day by day.

According to statistics, 17 more people were infected in Gilgit-Baltistan.

After these new victims, the total number of cases increased from 501 to 518.

Azad Kashmir
On the other hand, three more cases of Corona epidemic were reported in Azad Kashmir, the least affected area in Pakistan.

After these 3 new victims, the number of corona cases in Azad Kashmir has increased from 105 to 108.

Healthy people
In addition, the number of people recovering from the virus is increasing in the country.

According to official figures, there were 725 new people in the last 24 hours who fully recovered from the virus.

After which the number of those who defeated Corona in the country so far increased from 10155 to 10880.

Overall situation
If we take a look after the above statistics, at present the number of certified cases in the country is 39473 out of which 836 have died and 10880 have been recovered while the number of active cases is 27,746.

The number of people infected with the virus in Sindh is 15,590 while in Punjab it is 14,201.

Similarly, 5678 people have been affected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while the number has reached 2457 in Balochistan.

Corona has affected 921 people in Islamabad, 518 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 108 in Azad Kashmir.
